Wagga Golden Wheelrace – Report

The famous Wagga golden wheel carnival coupled with country championships lived up to its reputation as one of the best track carnivals on the calendar and Illawarra riders didn’t come away empty handed.
In the country championships Ryan Britten won gold, Like Britten silver, Sarah Cliff in her breakout performance silver and Tahlia Dole bronze.
In the Wagga golden wheel carnival our riders shone in the wheel races and the kierins. Some notable performances:
Sarah Cliff winning the U15w Wheelrace ,  nd placing in the kierin.

Emily Strumfin placing in most races.

Ryan Britten winning everything but the handicaps and Tane Matthews OBrien right with him in every race.

Tahlia Dole winning the U17w wheelrace and the kierin.

Luke Britten winning his mum some petrol money in the kierin and big sprinter dog Adrian McMillan taking home the kierin.

Other notable rides were former club rider Zac Marshall winning the golden wheel and current club rider Mick Marshall being sensationally disqualified from the handicap for “cruelty to a skinsuit” Sorry if we missed anything.
