I am sending this email as a result of the recent Facebook RANTS that I was
made aware of yesterday,(as sugested in one post i should have seen it, i
dont live in FB world and dont intend to)  in relation to the registering of
other groups or teams within the Club. First of all before I get into what I
am going to say and ask, I would like to say and i am sure that many of you
are aware that the Club entered into a sponsorship agreement a number of
years ago. 
 
The sponsorship was for a three year period and it was agreed that there
would be no other kit other than the Illawarra kit.  This secured a
significant amount of funds for the Club. I am sure that many of you were
aware of this and have benefit from it. 
There will also come a day when we will lose the road circuit at West Dapto
and so to hopefully secure an of road circuit the club will need subsatntial
funds to compliment any grants that we would be hopefull of getting.
 
The issue of registering groups or teams within the Club has been raised
again. I set out to negotiate with the sponsors on a way forward and put
together a proposal that was agreed on by the sponsors. The view was that
these groups or teams should contribute to the Club in the same fashion as a
sponsor (there are other clubs as dsecribed on the FB Rant that allow
sponsored groups and teams. However a large majority of these are also
sponsors of the club they belong to. So do contribute to their Club, ie they
are a Club sponsor and also sponsor a group within their Club). It is
apparent that those with this desire do not want to do that.
 
NOTE: This was a proposal; not one of these people turned up for the meeting
last night.?????????????????????????????????????????????????

So now onto my rant:
 
I have personally taken offence from some of those who have posted their
views regarding the Committee on FB. In my view, FB is faceless and an easy
way for people to attack others. I wont be doing that; it wont be faceless.
I could go on but will stop here for now.
 
So members, here is what I am asking (as these faceless FB people keep
saying its what you the members want).
 
1. Do you want a Club with sponsors? 
 
2 Do you want a club with No Sponsors and groups/teams in their own kit?
 
3. Do you agree or disagree that groups or teams within the Club should
contribute to the Club?
 
Thats all I need to ask, please reply to me with your answers and views. so
that i may move on !
