Further to Steve Bridge's email, could you please raise this with Karen and get the message out to all your riders that riding tandems would have many beneficial aspects to your members.  As a previous member of your club for many years I know that this type of riding is a lot harder than repeats up Mt Keira.  It is hard work riding a tandem and great strength training.
We all have commitments but sparing 3-4 hours in a morning once or twice a month would make such a difference to our vision impaired people of the Illawarra.  We also target people with disabilities other than loss of vision.  
Your assistance and friendship is appreciated.

President Phil,
 
I am a regular volunteer of Exsight Tandems Illawarra which is an 
organisation which assists the visually impaired to ride bicycles.  
 
I am writing to you to request assistance from members of your Club to 
volunteer their time on a casual basis to guide and steer our visually impaired 
mates around Wollongongs cycle tracks.  Some rides include our ‘Sutherland 
to ‘Gong’ and around Lake Illawarra.
 
I understand members have work and family commitments but even one tandem 
ride every 2-3 months by some of your members would be of great assistance to 
Exsight and would maintain it’s existence.
 
If this request sounds familiar, I forwarded an email to you (Phil) about 
12-18 months ago but unfortunately I didn’t get a reply.
