The race that week will be a Sealed handicap. This is a mass start event, ie
everyone starts at the same time.

Each rider will have a handicap but it is not known to them until the
finish. The aim is that the faster riders have to drop the slower riders and
that the slower riders have to try and hang on as long as possible. So it
would be possible for a rider to finish 5 minutes after the first rider
crossed the line and still win the handicap because they had a handicap of 6
minutes.

Prize money will be paid on this race.

 

Obviously a lot of consideration has to be given to the handicaps so there
will be NO entries on the line. You have to pre enter by sending me an
email. Please spread the word around as there are still a few members not
receiving emails from the Club or do not have email.

 

The marshals on the day are:

Paul Fleuren - non TC

Wal Erven - non TC

Aaron Coglan - TC leader

Jason Hogan - TC

Shane Visser - TC

Richard Lorenc - TC

 

If one of the recently trained TCs or another TC could  volunteer we could
run the race two laps to Marshal Mt. 

 

As per the policy endorsed by the Club Committee the marshals for January
22nd  who did not do their duty or arrange for someone to swap with them
will not be eligible to race until they have organised to fulfil their duty
on another date.
